Identifying the Children of Johan George Hacker
Recently, I’ve been updating and revising my great uncle William Wingeard’s A German-American Hacker-Hocker Genealogy. In the first edition, Bill did not include any information on Johan “Hans” Adam Hacker’s son Johan George (1766-1846). Fortunately, I have found some new information on him.
On 2 Mar 1819 George Hocker, son of Johan Adam & Sophia Maria (Hershey) Hocker, and Magdalena Landis, daughter of Henry and Catharine (___) Landis, were married at Zion Lutheran Church in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. They were only married for six short years before she died in 1825.
