Susanna (HAUSHALTER) SCHERB, was the daughter of Lorentz and Anna Margaretha (HACKER) HAUSHALTER. She was born 14 Sep 1774 in Cocalico township, Lancaster county, Pennsylvania and died 17 Apr 1844 in Lancaster county, Pennsylvania. She was buried in the Emanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Brickerville, Pennsylvania.

She was the wife of George SCHERB (1788—1850), who was also buried in the Emanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, along with his second wife Hannah MILLER (1795—1862). George and Susanna may have had a daughter Susanna who married Daniel Kern in 1820 in York county, Pennsylvania.

The couple had two children: Amanda, born 1851, and John Samuel, born 27 Aug 1853 and died 13 Jan 1858.

If you have any information on John LUPOLD’s family—parents, siblings, etc.—I’d be greatly interested in the information. I’m also interested in information about his daughter Amanda. She was born in 1851 and supposedly married a HEINCKE.

In her very short life, she married twice, first to John LUPOLD, born 3 Feb 1823 and died 13 Jan 1853, and second to Dr. John K. HARTZ. Eliza died from complications of child birth delivering her daughter Susan E. HARTZ. Eliza was buried in the Emanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Brickerville, Pennsylvania, as was her first husband.

The couple came to the United States in 1750 and settled in Lancaster county, Pennsylvania. Margaretha died on 12 Apr 1807 in Cocalico township and was buried at the Emanuel Lutheran Church cemetery in Brickerville, Lancaster county, Pennsylvania.

Lorentz HAUSHALTER (Lawrence Householder) was born 13 Aug 1726 in Rußheim, Baden, Germany. He married Anna Margaretha HACKER in Rußheim on 24 Nov 1750. He came to the United States in Oct 1752 with his wife, parents-in-law Christoph and Anna Margaretha (JOCK) HACKER, and brother and sister-in-law Michael and Christina (HACKER) LANG. They settled in Cocalico township, Lancaster county, Pennsylvania where Lorentz died on3 Jan 1805.  He was buried in the Emanuel Lutheran Church cemetery in Brickerville, Lancaster county, Pennsylvania.

Lorentz is likely the son of Lorentz and Maria Barbara (HAGER) HAUSHALTER of Rußheim
