Wilhelmena Rhodes Kelly and I have have participated in Chalk It! and chalked Maria and Isabella’s names on Thompson Street (#133 and #116). As I find out more and more about these courageous women and their family, I am heartbroken.

Are there photos of these two women we might see and use in next year’s activities?

Thank you for the very hard and dedicated work on identifying these women.

    Sincerely,

    Kim Dramer

Kim, thanks for the post. I, personally, didn’t have any hand in identifying these women. I just reported on their identification in honor of the 100th anniversary of the tragedy. I’m very glad to see they’re still being remembered.
