William Edward and Leonora (Redmon) Hocker
William Edward HOCKER, son of John Benjamin and Mary Ann (HESS) HOCKER, was born 8 Nov 1855 in Bellefontaine, Logan county, Ohio and died 15 Sep 1946 in Rio Grande county, Colorado.
William married three times. First, he married Nora Ann COCKRELL, daughter of Peter COCKRELL, in Jan 1882 in Rio Grande County, Colorado. He married second Nora’s sister Joetta COCKRELL in 1886 in Rio Grande County, Colorado. Finally, he married 19 Jan 1893 Leonora REDMON, daughter of Garrett Clellen and Rebecca Charlotte (MOSS) REDMON.

I am sorry but this photo is of my grandfather’s mother, Joetta Cockrell Hocker who was the 2nd wife of William Edward Hocker. His first wife was Joetta’s sister, Nora Ann Cockrell.
Patty, are you sure of the identification? After looking back through my info, I’m confident that it’s a photo of William and one of his wives, but I’m not sure which wife.
I have additional photos of William’s wives from Bill Wingeard’s book. The woman in this photo doesn’t look anything like the photos identified as the Cockrell sisters. Of course, one photo is identified as both Nora (COCKRELL) Hocker AND Leonora (REDMON) HOCKER, so it makes identification somewhat difficult. I’ll post those photos…maybe it will help.
Unfortunately, I can’t find this photo in the information Bill got from John Garrett HOCKER (William and Leonora’s grandson).
